Love this series! My only crit on this one is I would’ve made the “bumps” progressively smaller as they go up, sort of like a pebble in a pond effect, since the idea of the story is that she could feel the pea but others couldn’t.
I love the echoes of Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures in this :)
Neat! I just checked out Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures. I see what you mean. Thanks for sharing that.
I hear ya @Dave Wittekind. When we break down the physics that would make sense. I guess what I’m trying to convey is a litteral interpretation of what the princess may have felt. Sure, it was insignificant to everyone else, but to her there may as have been a bowling ball under her lumbar. In that sense I think the idea works.
I knew I recognized the name when this poster popped up in my tumblr feed! way to go Christian!
LOVE these prints! Ordered 4 of them for my daughter’s nursery!!!

These posters are brilliant. This was my favourite book as a child and this poster is just wonderful.
Thanks Becky! This one was one of my favorites to design.

Christian, congratulations on your fairy tale idea, which I love for being as simple as expressive. I just ordered the “pea” which will hopefully protected me from bad sleep.
Best wishes from Berlin, Daniela
